DAY ONE: DAR ES SALAAM TO NYERERE NATIONAL PARK (SUNSET BOAT SAFARI)

Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Dar es Salaam, heading south to Nyerere National Park, a drive of approximately 6-7 hours. Along the way, you'll pass through vibrant villages and scenic landscapes, giving you a glimpse of rural Tanzanian life. Upon arrival at Africa Safari Selous, your home for the next three nights, you'll have lunch and time to relax before embarking on an enchanting evening boat safari along the Rufiji River. As the sun sets, the river comes alive with hippos, crocodiles, and a rich variety of birdlife, including the majestic African fish eagle. The tranquil waters and the golden glow of the sunset create the perfect setting for your first night in the wilderness.

DAY TWO: NYERERE NATIONAL PARK (FULL DAY GAME DRIVE)

Rise up early in the morning to the sounds of nature and prepare for a full-day game drive in Nyerere National Park. This expansive reserve is home to a stunning array of wildlife, and your
Second day will be spent exploring its varied landscapes. As you venture deeper into the park, keep an eye out for large herds of elephants, towering giraffes, and zebras grazing on the plains. The park is also renowned for its predators, so you may have the chance to see lions, hyenas, and even the elusive African wild dog. A picnic lunch in the bush allows you to immerse in the sights and sounds of the wilderness. As the day draws to an end return to Africa Safari Selous for a well- deserved rest.

DAY THREE: NYERERE NATIONAL PARK (BUSH WALKING & GAME DRIVE)

Begin your day with an early morning guided Bush walking safari accompanied with a bush man, an opportunity to experience the park from a different perspective. Led by an experienced guide, you'll explore the smaller details of the ecosystem, from tracking footprints to identifying unique plants and insects. This intimate experience brings you closer to nature, and you may even encounter smaller mammals and a variety of bird species. After breakfast and some time to relax at the lodge, embark on an evening game drive with packed lunch. As dusk falls, the park takes on a different character, with nocturnal animals emerging. Look out for the elusive leopard, as well as other creatures like bush babies and porcupines. Return to Africa Safari Selous for your final night in the wild

DAY FIVE: NYERERE TO MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will drive around doing game drives in Nyerere National Park and through Uluguru Mountains and Morogoro town to Mikumi National Park. On arrival, you will check in at your Camp Bastian in Mikumi town. Mikumi is home to elephants, Lions, Wild dogs, Zebras, Hyenas, Buffalos, Wildebeests, Elands, Hartebeests, Crocodiles, lizards and other residents. Over 300 species of birds have been observed in this park. You will have dinner and an overnight stay at Camp Bastian Lodge Mikumi. The meal plan includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

DAY SIX: FULLY DAY IN MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will depart for a morning game drive with packed lunch. You will also go for an afternoon game drive to various areas of Mikumi including Mkata, Chamgore (place of the python) and Mkata Food Plain within Mikumi National Park. You will have dinner and an overnight stay at Camp Bastian Mikumi on a full-board basis.

DAY SEVEN: MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK (MAASAI CULTURE EXPERIENCE)

Spend another morning game drive explore the park diverse ecosystem. In the midafternoon return to camp Bastina for a delicious dinner After winding and briefing, you'll head out to a nearby Maasai village. Here, you'll be warmly welcomed by the Maasai people and have the chance to experience their rich culture firsthand. Enjoy traditional dances, learn about their customs, and witness their way of life. Return to Camp Bastian for a relaxing evening under the stars, reflecting on the day's experiences.

DAY EIGHT: MIKUMI TO RUAHA NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will drive to Ruaha National Park and have lunch served in the park. In the afternoon, you'll have game viewing in the park, which is known to be one of the more natural, unspoiled as well as one of the largest parks in Africa. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Ruaha Tandala Safari Camp. The meal plan includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.

DAY NINE: RUAHA NATIONAL PARK (WALKING SAFARI+GAME DRIVE)

Awaken to the calls of the wild and start your day with a guided morning nature walk accompanied with experienced armed rangers, a perfect opportunity to connect with the smaller wonders of Ruaha. As you walk through the bush, your guide will point out tracks, plants, and birds, revealing the complex details of this vast ecosystem. After a thrilling nature walk return to the lodge for the late breakfast, unwind for a while, afterward embark in an afternoon game with drive that offers another chance to witness the park’s predators in action. Ruaha is home to the largest lion population in East Africa, as well as other apex predators like cheetahs and hyenas, keep your eyes peeled to see endangered species of antelope like sable antelope and lesser kudu which are frequently spotted in Ruaha. A picnic lunch will be served amidst the park. The diverse habitats of the park also support large herds of buffalo, antelope, and even the rare African wild dog. After a day filled with wildlife encounters, you'll return to the Lodge for a dinner and restful night under the African Sky.

DAY TEN: FULL DAY IN RUAHA NATIONAL PARK

Begin the day with an enchanting sunrise game drive in Ruaha National Park, where the early morning light offers the best opportunities for wildlife sightings. As you explore the park, you may encounter large herds of elephants, which are a mark of Ruaha’s rich wildlife. The park is also home to a variety of predators, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs, often seen in the
4 early hours or late afternoon. Watch for majestic kudu antelopes and giraffes browsing on acacia trees, and keep an eye out for the elusive African wild dog.
Following day After a hearty breakfast at the lodge, enjoy a leisurely mid-day break or explore the lodge’s surroundings. In the afternoon, embark on another game drive to delve deeper into the park’s diverse habitats. Return to the lodge in the evening for a delightful dinner and restful night.
