Although it is technically possible to climb Mount Kilimanjaro year-round, there are certain months are characterized by colder weather, more rain, and potentially loads of snow on the summit. It is advised that the best time to climb Kilimanjaro is during the warmest and driest times of the year, from December to mid-March and mid-June to the end of October. DAY ONE: Day 1: Arusha / Moshi – Momella Gate – Miriakamba Hut

Drive to Momella Gate and begin your trek through forest and open plains to Miriakamba Hut, with chances to spot giraffes, buffalo, warthogs, and other wildlife along the way.

DAY TWO: Day 2: Miriakamba Hut – Saddle Hut – Little Meru

Climb through lush mountain forest to Saddle Hut, then enjoy an acclimatization hike to Little Meru for spectacular sunset views before returning for the night.

DAY THREE: Day 3: Saddle Hut – Socialist Peak – Miriakamba Hut

Begin your summit push before dawn and trek via Rhino Point to Socialist Peak (4,566m), then descend with unforgettable sunrise views over Meru Crater and distant Mount Kilimanjaro.

DAY FOUR: Day 4: Miriakamba Hut – Momella Gate – Arusha / Moshi

Descend through forest trails back to Momella Gate, then transfer to Arusha or Moshi with memories of a truly scenic mountain adventure.
