Marangu Route Kilimanjaro Climb

DAY ONE: Day 1: Moshi – Marangu Gate – Mandara Hut
After breakfast, drive from Moshi to Marangu Gate and begin your trek through lush rainforest to Mandara Hut, with an optional walk to Maundi Crater for scenic views.
DAY TWO: Day 2: Mandara Hut – Horombo Hut
Continue your ascent through forest and moorland landscapes to Horombo Hut, enjoying changing scenery and wider mountain views along the way.
DAY THREE: Day 3: Horombo Hut – Zebra Rocks – Horombo Hut
Spend the day acclimatizing with a scenic hike to Zebra Rocks, then return to Horombo Hut for rest and preparation for higher altitude.
DAY FOUR: Day 4: Horombo Hut – Kibo Hut
Trek across the dramatic alpine desert to Kibo Hut, where you will rest early and prepare for your midnight summit attempt.
DAY FIVE: Day 5: Kibo Hut – Uhuru Peak – Horombo Hut
Begin your overnight summit push to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), reaching the Roof of Africa at sunrise before descending via Kibo Hut to Horombo Hut.
DAY SIX: Day 6: Horombo Hut – Marangu Gate – Moshi
Descend through the lower mountain slopes to Marangu Gate, receive your summit certificate, and transfer back to Moshi.
